Music with Mitchell Debute

Music with Mitchell has invited Breez'n Band to accompany Janey Mitchell the Saxophonist on these two events and it is an amazing collaboration that showcases the product and Talent that Plettenberg Bay produces. The band was found by Kenny Jantjies in 2015 and have shown exponential growth over the years. The vision for Breez'n band was to keep young aspiring musicians busy with developing their skills and to keep the music scene alive not only in Plettenberg Bay, but the greater Garden route area. The band has performed at numerous weddings, birthday parties, private functions and Jazz festivals. The band has developed a unique sound that sways the crowd and audience on all occasions. Making use of the core musicians based in Plettenberg Bay the band has regular rehearsals to further develop their sound which than provides an opportunity for other musicians from different towns to collaborate, work and share a stage with Breez'n Band. The band consists out of Kenny (Bass), Joshua (Drums), Cameron (Keys), Janey (Saxophone). Each very unique and possess the needed skill to help boost and develop each others musical growth. Music with Mitchell Debute will not only be an experience of a lifetime but will create a long-standing awareness of Plett is a feeling.

Janey Mitchell is a multifaceted and accomplished musician based in Plettenberg Bay, South Africa. Known for his soulful melodies and captivating live performances, Janey's music resonates with audiences across the globe. With over a decade of stage experience, he brings a distinctive blend of Jazz, R&B, and soul infused with emotional depth and a signature sound that reflects his personal journey as an artist. A graduate of the North-West University School of Music (2018), Janey went on to earn the principal chair in the National Youth Wind Orchestra in 2019, leading the saxophone section with distinction. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with a range of artists and featured on numerous recordings experiences that have shaped and enriched his artistry. In addition to live performances, Janey is passionate about music education. He offers formal training and mentorship to aspiring musicians in his community, striving to provide the opportunities he once lacked. Music with Mitchell (Pty) Ltd. has two music programs running, one of which is at Bahia Formosa Primary school in Plettenberg Bay. The program is open to all ages and has seen a tremendous growth with our Piano, Saxophone, Guitar, Marimba and Class music lessons. We equip our students with the skills and curriculum of Trinity, ABRSM and Unisa. The second program forms part of the Oakhill Music department where we specify in Drums and Saxophone lessons. Janey Mitchell continues to inspire through his music and his commitment to artistic excellence and community empowerment, although his passion for music is unwavering, limited financial resources have made it difficult to grow his program and reach more students and aspiring musicians who could benefit from his program.
